For more than six years, Tom Copeland has participated in Urban Youth Impact‘s annual Christmas Store! This unique event collects and distributes toys to families in the most impoverished neighborhoods of West Palm Beach.
In this, it’s 17th year of the vent, UYI received enough toys to serve more than 1,400 children! Tom and spouse Tracie, along with many volunteers from Tom’s office at the Law Offices of Craig Goldenfarb, P.A., help collect and deliver some of the toys, and are always on-hand the day of the event for a few hours spending time with the families, and hauling the gifts off to their new home.
Urban Youth Impact is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves the most vulnerable inner-city children of West Palm. The Christian-based organization was founded by former PGA golf professional Bill Hobbs more than 20 years ago. Mr. Hobbs can be regularly seen on campus every day spending time with the kids.
The mission is to love, empower, and equip children and their families to fulfill their God-given purpose.
The UYI model substantially inspired the model of Inner City Innovators, a 501(c)(3) Tom is a founding board member of that seeks to end gun violence among 14-24 year old young black men in the Tamarind and Pleasant City corridor of West Palm.
